Curriculum

The curriculum for Teacher Education at elementary level is prepared on the basis of suggestions by NCTE, has come into being on December 1st,2018. St. Albert's ITE offers Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course. The course has a duration of 2 years with an internship of 100 working days. The curriculum is aimed at equipping the student teachers to teach in elementary classes, which are child friendly in nature.  Modern Education Psychology, Philosophies of Education and Pedagogical Perceptions are foundations of this curriculum.

Admission

As per government notification, the candidates must have passed 12th or an equivalent level from a recognized board or school with minimum 50% of marks. The total intake of students is 22, per academic year.

Discipline

Discipline is an integral part of teaching learning process. To develop a self control, a student teacher must be trained to bridle emotions and impulses, to live in harmony with others, to respect family traditions, to keep the laws of the country and to obey the commandments of God.
